Ticking Hearts

If you have just one beat left
What would you do with it?

or just let it slip.

This ticking stops when Death opens the door
Do you run to open it?
or hang tight and find something to look for.

The beats are limited
Time is ticking
the closer to zero
you feel Death approaching.

Run away from the ticking
Push it out the door
Why rush to the end
enjoy the journey some more.
